Every piece of bespoke furniture commissioned is individual so requires its own personalised finish, which is why we use a wide variety of different staining and polishing methods to enhance the timbers natural grain and beauty, achieving the desired finish. These range from traditional hand French polishing methods, to oil and wax finishes or a more durable lacquered spray finish. We also use a variety of painted finishes and effects that are either applied by hand or sprayed.
You may have existing furniture that you wish to match to, in most cases we can normally match finishes that you require. Our experience and expertise enables us to re-create and match aged affects and patinas of antique furniture, by utilizing and blending traditional polishing methods.
We use a range of gold and silver gilding methods for the more opulent and luxurious of pieces. Some projects may require upholstering by being either fully or partly covered. A wide choice of materials and trimmings are available, from fabrics to leather completing the finished piece.
